Before foam and fiberglass, surfers caught waves on boards made of wood. Le Cali Designs has partnered with the guys over at Almond Surfboards to create dozens of surfboards with wooden details. They’re pretty good looking if we do say so ourselves.
Collab surfboards include a 5’8” pogie surfboard with a walnut inlay, a 9’6” Lumberjack with split wooden inlays, a 5’8” Quadcumber with redwood inlay, a Kookumber with timber inlay, and a remake of a 1930s Tom Blake-style kookbox.
